Kate is a writer, adviser, and speaker, dedicated to equitable access to education, in particular to digital and AI literacy, with a focus on women and youth. For over 25 years, she has led organisations at the intersection of technology, education, and communications, working with governments, industry, and civil society to advance AI and digital literacy globally. A keynote speaker on AI literacy, women’s leadership, and AI ethics, she regularly presents at international conferences to promote inclusive, responsible approaches to technology.

Since the early 2000s, she has co-founded two technology companies and founded a digital education charity for youth. Her work has introduced digital skills to over a million children, with a focus on girls – and she has helped build and power up enough servers and computers, and write lines of code to understand how the digital world is built.
She is an adviser to the Montreal AI Ethics Institute (MAIEI), a collaborator with the AI in Education Interdisciplinary Research Hub at Oxford University (AIEOU), and is often invited to lecture at universities.
Kate has contributed to UNESCO’s AI competency frameworks for teachers and students and is a member of Canada’s AI Public Awareness Working Group. Internationally, Kate is a speaker on AI and computing literacies and an active contributor to global policy discussions.

Achievements include Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100, 100 Entrepreneures Qui Changent Le Monde, YWCA Women of Distinction: Education, Women in AI & Ethics,Women in AI – ESG finalist, and Visa Entrepreneur/Innovation Leader of the Year.
A trustee of the Anita Goulden Trust, Kate supports the UK-based charity founded by her grandmother in 1958, which provides financial assistance to the Anita Goulden Home and School in Peru.
Fluently bilingual in English and French, Kate was raised and educated in the U.K., Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, and Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Concordia University (Canada), an Executive MBA from McGill and HEC Montréal (Canada), Board Governance training from the Rotman School of Management (Canada), and certifications in Public Policy, and AI & Ethics from the London School of Economics (UK).
Kate is the proud mum of three amazing young women who are dedicated to making the world a safer, more inclusive, and healthier place to live.
