Through partnerships with universities and governments, we advance the work of democratizing AI literacy and building human fluency so that everyone can thrive in a rapidly changing digital society. We have supported governments and NGOs across Africa, Europe, and North America.

Kate ARTHUR, CEO & Co-founder

Kate is leading voice on literacy, AI and ethics, in the digital age. She is an author, university lecturer, and keynote speaker. For over 25 years, she has founded and led organisations at the intersection of technology, education, and communications, working with governments, industry, and civil society to advance AI and digital literacy globally, with a focus on women and youth. She is the founder and founding CEO of Digital Moment (formerly Kids Code Jeunesse), a national youth education charity, and co-founder of DMCS Canada, an IT consulting firm. Her book, Am I Literate? Redefining Literacy in the Age of Artificial Intelligence explores the evolving meaning of literacy and how it shapes individuals, inspires innovation, and connects generations.

Kate is an adviser to the Montreal AI Ethics Institute (MAIEI), and collaborator with the AI in Education Interdisciplinary Research Hub at Oxford University (AIEOU).

She has worked with the UNESCO AI Education team on the AI competency frameworks for teachers and students, was a member of Canada’s AI Public Awareness Working Group, CCUNESCO’s SDG and AI Committee, and a Canadian Delegate for the High Level Political Forum at the United Nations.

Achievements include Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100, 100 Entrepreneures Qui Changent Le Monde, YWCA Women of Distinction: Education, Women in AI & Ethics,Women in AI – ESG finalist, and Visa Entrepreneur/Innovation Leader of the Year.

A trustee of the Anita Goulden Trust, Kate supports the UK-based charity founded by her grandmother in 1958, which provides financial assistance to the Anita Goulden Home and School in Peru. Kate is also a board member at Raison d’art, a youth education non-profit that leverages the power of art and technology to address complex social issues facing young people in digital spaces.

Bilingual in English and French, Kate was raised and educated in the U.K., Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, and Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Concordia University (Canada), an Executive MBA from McGill and HEC Montréal (Canada), Board Governance training from the Rotman School of Management (Canada), and certifications in Public Policy, and AI & Ethics from the London School of Economics (UK).
